Abscess, Furuncles & Carbuncles

These are usually collections of pus. They can occur anywhere on the skin. They are more commonly seen in teenagers and young adults. This most commonly occurs at the edge of minor trauma or friction and underneath belts or tight clothing.

Treatment:

Compressing of the deeper lesions is usually required. Drainage can be helpful. Oral antibiotics are also required.
