Cat Scratch Disease
This is a self-limited condition caused by Bartonella Henselae. The primary lesion is usually a papule or pustule that ulcerates. A lymph node is soon seen unilaterally on the same side as the initial lesion. There may be accompanying fever, malaise and systemic symptoms.
Treatment:
- Wait and see
- Azithromycin
- Case reports show benefits from erythromycin doxycycline trimethoprim and Ciprofloxacin
