Chondrodermatitis Nodularis Helices
This is a benign condition that presents with a painful papule usually on the antihelix. It generally measures about 1/2cm. Pain is experienced when sleeping. A biopsy is important to rule out squamous cell carcinoma.
Treatment:
- Avoid pressure, an ear cushion can be helpful.
- Intra-lesional corticosteroids
- Cryotherapy
- Excision of the underlying cartilage.
