Eruptive xanthoma
Eruptive xanthomas usually present as multiple 2 to 55 mm yellowish papules surrounded by a red halo. Hundreds of such lesions may be present at once.
Eruptive xanthomas are associated with hypertriglyceridemia; less often with other lipid abnormalities.
A complete lipid profile is warranted.
Treatment:
- Control the underlying hyperlipidemia.
