Glomus tumor
A glomus tumor is a tumor composed of vascular channels surrounded by proliferating glomus cells.
Typically a centimeter in diameter, glomus tumors are frequently multiple.
Pink to dark purple-blue glomus tumors are usually quite painful.
Other painful tumors include leiomyoma and eccrine spiradenoma.
Treatment:
- Treatment of choice is surgical excision.
