Hodgkin's lymphoma

Skin infiltrates in Hodgkin's lymphoma are uncommon.
Early literature on cutaneous T-cell lymphoma suggested that, when internal involvement developed, there was a conversion of mycosis fungoides to Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Current disease concepts are that Hodgkin's disease of the skin is a rare phenomenon, whereas cutaneous T-cell lymphoma with similar histology to Hodgkin's lymphoma is relatively common.

Treatment:

  • Systemic therapy of the Hodgkin's disease will usually result in complete clearing of skin lesions.
  • An alternative is local radiotherapy.
