Papilloma (definition)
(pap'i-lo'mah) (Latin. Pailla - a nipple-like projection + Greek. oma - a swelling or tumor)
A nipple-like mass projecting from the surface of the skin.
Examples:
Dermal papilloma:
- A soft flesh-colored elevated tumor with a dermal component. Fibroma molle.
Epidermal papilloma:
- Acrochordon or papillomatous seborrheic keratosis.
