Prurigo nodularis
Chronic excoriation of the skin can produce nodular lesions known as prurigo nodularis.
Usually such chronic excoriation is on the basis of atopy or pruritus secondary to xerosis.
Chronic scratching produces lichenification and dermal proliferation of collagen and neural elements.
