Symmetrical progressive erythrokeratoderma
Synonym:
Gottron's syndrome
Symmetrical progressive erythrokeratoderma is an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by large, slightly elevated red to red-yellow, sharply demarcated plaques with a fine scale.
Lesions are usually symmetrical and can expand peripherally.
Treatment:
- Spontaneous clearing in sporadic cases has been reported.
- PUVA, etretinate, and acitretin have all been reported to be effective.
- Long term treatment is usually required.
