Tuberous xanthoma
Tuberous xanthomas are yellow orange nodules up to 2 cm in diameter, often located over knees and elbows in patients with hypercholesterolemia and other lipid abnormalities.
All patients with tuberous xanthomas should have a lipid profile.
Treatment:
- Correction of the underlying systemic lipid abnormality is required to control tuberous xanthomas.
