Argyria
Argyria is the deposition of silver in tissue, with the development of a slate-gray to bluish color diffusely in the skin, including sclera and nails.
Color is accentuated in sun exposed areas.
Exposure to the silver can be industrial, medicinal, or from eating silver foil wrappers on South-Asian sweets.
Treatment:
- The color fades very slowly upon stopping the intake of silver or silver salts.
