Purpura secondary to coagulation disorders

Purpura can occur secondary to any disturbance of the coagulation system.
Except in the case of disseminated intravascular coagulation, such development of purpura secondary to coagulation disorders, tends to be a chronic, non-life threatening problem.

Treatment:

  • Treatment rests with correction of the underlying coagulation defect.
